BSD Travel Fund

NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS!!

 All graduate students of the Biological Sciences Division are eligible to apply for the BSD Travel Fund. The award consists of up to $500 for travel expenses to a scientific meeting. Applicants can receive the award once a year and priority will be given to students presenting their own work (oral or poster presentation), senior students.  Funding for the Travel Award was generously granted by the Division of the Biological Sciences to support BSD student interests.

Please note that if you have graduated by the time of the conference, you are not eligible for the award. 

As part of the application process, applicants must supply the following information:

1. Statement of purpose – please describe the project, including the following: Why is this question important? What is the significance of your research? How will your findings relate to larger scientific issues? What is the purpose to attending this meeting?
2. Abstract and proof of submission
3. Letter of recommendation from a faculty member
4. Proposed budget

 Application Deadline for 2008: 

September 15- for travel between July 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008
