THE PREP (Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program) is an opportunity for members of groups underrepresented in the biomedical or behavioral sciences who hold a recent bachelor's degree in science to work as lab technicians for a year at the University of Chicago. Participants in the PREP must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents and intend to pursue a research doctorate upon completion of their participation in this Program. In addition to the employment, PREP Scholars participate in academic activities designed to help them prepare for successful application to an advanced degree program.
